Firearm Safety Rules / Practice & Qualify
~*~
1)    Treat ALL GUNS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED – personally inspect the firearm to verify it is unloaded and THEN…TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.
(Visually & Physically Inspect every time you handle a firearm)
~*~

2)    Point the muzzle in a Safe Direction at ALL TIMES (No Exceptions) Do not point the gun at anything you do not intend to kill or destroy.  In addition - You must be aware of other people and THEIR Movements as well as your own...What is a safe muzzle direction one moment may be unsafe in an instant.  Be AWARE and Vigilant at all times!!!!
~*~

3)     Keep your Finger Outside of the Trigger Guard and On The Frame of the gun UNTIL you are ON TARGET (Proper Sight Picture), HAVE DECIDED TO FIRE, ARE GOING TO FIRE and YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO FIRE YOUR FIREARM.  Then it is ok to put your finger inside the trigger guard and then on the trigger.
(This process then starts over again)
~*~

4)   Know your target. Know what's in the foreground and what's in the background before you discharge your firearm. (Sights over bore)  YOU are 100% Responsible for each bullet that is fired - (Intentionally or Unintentionally) from the gun’s muzzle to the bullet's final resting place and each point in between!  This is any time a round is fired in self defense or otherwise.
~*~
5) Proper Grip on firearm (Revolver, Semi-Auto & Pocket Pistols)
NOTE: Practice - (100 rounds per month is a good goal)  If you do not practice you are doing yourself and the public a disservice.  If you do not Practice Safety, Your Draw From Concealment, the Law and Accuracy YOU SHOULD NOT CARRY!
NOTE: You should qualify, on your own, with each of your handguns before you begin to carry that handgun concealed.  10 round @ 3,5,7 yards and 21 of 30 hit the silhouette target
NOTE: Crawl, Walk & then Run... Build your skills slowly... Safety is a Crawl...  Speed is only gained after safety and accuracy are developed

Be aware of these rules and vigilant 100% of the time -
while in the presence of
carrying, handling and/or firing any firearm.
